The number of organisations listed on donorinfo.be varies regularly, why is this?

The answer is very simple. The donorinfo.be website is updated and reworked every day. New organisations are regularly added, and occasionally, some organisations cease to be listed.

When does Donorinfo take the decision to no longer list an organisation on donorinfo.be?

• If the organisation has not provided its financial data, information on activities or audit report to Donorinfo. Publication on donorinfo.be comes with the undertaking that an organisation will be entirely transparent with its financial figures, and will have them audited by an agreed, indpendent body. The organisations also undertake to provide this information to us within the specified deadlines, so that donors who visit donorinfo.be always have access to the most up-to-date information possible. Our organisations have nine months to provide us with the necessary information for the update of their files. If an organisation does not comply with this, their listing is suspended.

• If, after an audit funded by Donorinfo, the auditor reports a problem (e.g. mismanagement of accounts). In this instance, Donorinfo will suspend the listing of the organisation until it can rectify the issues raised and satisfy the auditor in each of the areas of concern.

• If an organisation does not comply with with the Donorinfo terms of publication. On the basis of the detailed annual accounts of listed organisations, Donorinfo compiles a uniform, financial summary of information pertient to the specificities of the philanthropic sector. If an organisation was not content with the dissemination of its incomings and outgoings on the Donorinfo financial summary, and this issue persisted, Donorinfo would not longer list the organisation on donorinfo.be.

• If an organisation ceases to exist, no longer meets the Donorinfo publication criteria, no longer seeks private or corporate donations, then it will no longer be listed on donorinfo.be.

All listed organisations are free to request the removal of their listing from donorinfo.be, at any time.
